Building platforms where tradition and innovation meet.

Janya

I founded Janya as a platform for rethinking how South Asian classical arts are experienced, produced, and sustained in contemporary contexts. The organization operates at the intersection of performance, design, and storytelling—centering intentional programming that prioritizes audience experience as much as artistic integrity.

My work at Janya spans both creative direction and organizational leadership, including:

  • Concept development and curation of immersive, design-forward performances and events

  • Strategic planning for programming, partnerships, and long-term growth

  • End-to-end in-house production oversight, from creation to execution

  • Audience development and positioning for non-traditional and cross-cultural audiences

  • Brand, narrative, and experience design across digital and live platforms

Janya functions as both a presenting organization and a creative laboratory—testing new formats for engagement, collaboration, and accessibility while remaining grounded in classical forms. Each project is designed to leave audiences with a cohesive, considered experience rather than a single moment on stage.

Media & curation

My work includes directing digital campaigns, publications, and brand systems for arts organizations, as well as beginning to take on curatorial projects that connect artists and audiences in new ways.

These roles reflect long-term investment in arts ecosystems—not one-off volunteering—and draw on the same leadership, communication, and operational skills used in my formal roles.

This role sat at the intersection of operations, finance, and creative production—proving that arts events can be both ambitious and well-run.
