Janya
I founded Janya as a platform for rethinking how South Asian classical arts are experienced, produced, and sustained in contemporary contexts — prioritizing audience experience as much as artistic integrity.

Productions span concert events, community activations, and collaborative programming — including work that connects classical forms to contemporary social conversations. Janya has curated internationally acclaimed artists and is actively developing an expanding roster of productions and partnerships.​​

Alongside live productions, Janya publishes Lekha — an editorial platform featuring research, field notes, artist voices, criticism, and media documentation of South Asian performance arts. Each production is accompanied by original writing, educational resources, and documentation designed to extend the life of the work beyond the stage.
Curatorial
Curatorial practice begins with a question about what a space can hold. An early project — a commissioned exhibit for the Kendall Frost Marsh Reserve in California — explored environmental conservation and indigenous land relationships through narrative-based research and visual communication. The work is documented in the writing archive.

Current curatorial thinking informs programming at Janya and the editorial direction of Lekha — approaching each production as a considered whole rather than a series of individual elements.
Arts Education & Programming
Teaching and education work spans movement and visual arts, working with both children and adults across workshop and residency formats. The underlying conviction is that art is one of the most effective tools for building attention, empathy, and creative confidence — in artists and non-artists alike.

Currently developing an arts-based corporate programming concept — using structured creative sessions to facilitate team building, lateral thinking, and organizational culture work. The first session is forthcoming.
NILAM
In development: an editorial platform for South Asian arts and culture — approaching the subject through objects, practices, spaces, and the people who inhabit them. More soon.
Kala Arangam
Director of Strategy at Kalaarangam — a St. Louis-based nonprofit dedicated to incubating South Asian artistic creativity. Co-directing organizational strategy, programming, and community partnerships since the organization's founding in 2014, through over a decade of productions, community events, and platform-building. Kalaarangam achieved 501(c)(3) status in 2026 — a milestone in a long-term commitment to building sustainable infrastructure for South Asian arts in the Midwest.
Community Involvement
Over a decade of involvement with Abhinay Fine Arts in Seattle — supporting strategy, logistics, and production for one of the Pacific Northwest's leading Indian classical arts organizations.

In St. Louis, active across civic and cultural programming — emceeing events, supporting artist hospitality, and contributing operational and strategic expertise to organizations building cross-cultural platforms.
